The Aljarafe stretches west of Seville as a landscape of gentle hills, vineyards, olive groves and small towns whose history has grown alongside agriculture and wine.

This is where Góngora has its roots. A territory inhabited and cultivated since Antiquity, shaped by cultures that left their mark on the way the land was worked, wine was produced and time was understood.

Exploring the area offers a glimpse into a less obvious side of Andalusia: paths winding through olive groves, open horizons, white villages and a way of life in which landscape, memory and craftsmanship remain closely intertwined.

From Góngora, the Aljarafe is not simply the landscape surrounding the house. It is part of its history.

Just a few kilometres away, Seville opens the story in another direction.

For centuries, it was a port, a meeting place and a gateway to unknown territories. Expeditions and goods set sail for the Americas from its quays, including wines produced in these lands. This connection between Seville, the Aljarafe and the other side of the Atlantic is also part of Góngora’s history.

Today, the city retains its ability to blend different eras, cultures and ways of life. Heritage, art, architecture, gardens, markets, gastronomy and street life coexist in a city that can be discovered as much through its great monuments as through everything that happens in between.
