At Casa Góngora, we view sustainability as a way to preserve the essence of the place, respect its history, and care for the environment around us. Our commitment stems from a philosophy rooted in authenticity, heritage conservation, and a mindful approach to hospitality.
The renovation of the house and the winery is being carried out with a focus on reusing original materials and preserving elements of historical and architectural value. Tiles, terrazzo floors, woodwork, doors, windows, fountains, and old fireplaces are all part of a restoration process that seeks to keep the building’s soul alive and extend the life of fine, high-quality materials designed to stand the test of time.
We are equally committed to the responsible management of natural resources. The project incorporates energy-efficient LED lighting, efficient HVAC systems, programmable thermostats, and energy-saving solutions, including solar power. In terms of water management, we are implementing water-saving systems, rainwater harvesting for irrigation, and gardens designed with native species adapted to the local climate.
