History
Bodegas Góngora is the second oldest operating winery in Spain, with more than four centuries of history in the Sevillian Aljarafe. Founded in 1641 and passed down through generations, it has been shaped by the Góngora family, who still preserve the art of crafting and aging fine fortified wines today.
From Roman times to the trade routes with the New World, the Aljarafe has been a land of great wines, and Góngora has carried that legacy into the modern era. Over the centuries, the winery grew, modernized, and gained international recognition, including awards at the Paris Universal Exposition of 1878.
